Mechaphoton

Mechaphoton provided complete design, programming and project managment of organically themed installation at Seismique museum in Houston, Texas.

the project included laser driven fiber optics, individually addressable LEDS, spandex backlit with DMX fixtures, generative designed "fiber guides", and  3d milled sculptural elements, all arranged around a luminous pillar which acted as the input device.

the central cylinder is surrounded by 6 laser sensors allowing it to sense from what side and at what height it is being touched. forming a type of low res cylindrical LED touch screen.
